GABBY WILL PRIORITIZE

Quality of Life

Our city should be a place where people feel proud to live, work, and raise a family. But for too many residents, basic expectations aren’t being met. City services feel inconsistent, public spaces are underutilized, and opportunities to showcase our community to locals and tourists are being missed. Too many residents feel that basic city services and community spaces are falling short.

Quality of life is not a luxury—it’s the foundation of a strong, thriving city.

My approach to improving the quality of life will focus on delivering a city government that our community deserves. We will invest in:

  • Effective and Responsive Municipal Services: Reliable trash pickup, snow removal, and routine street maintenance are not nice-to-haves, they are essential to a thriving city.

  • Coordinated and Efficient Access to Social Services: Life is stressful and seeking support shouldn’t add to that. Increasing awareness and access to assistance is critical to supporting the mobility of families.

  • Clean, Safe, and Well-Promoted Parks and Public Facilities: Public spaces that foster community pride and connection. Our parks and facilities should be clean, safe, and something we’re proud of.

  • Invest in Tourism: Neighbors travel north and south for tourism, overlooking all that Racine has to offer. Investing in tourism as a strategic tool to showcase our city and drive economic growth will benefit residents.

A city that works well creates opportunity, pride, and connection. Residents deserve a government that is efficient, responsive, and effective. Basic services matter and people should know where to go when they need help across the plethora of services that exist around town. When services are dependable and public spaces are thriving, we strengthen neighborhoods, support local businesses, and improve daily life for everyone.
